During a trip to Amsterdam with Susan I got an email letting me know that my short story titled “Saint Christopher” placed second in the Writer’s Digest 19th Annual Short Short Story Competition. The contest was open to stories of 1,500 words or less. More than 3,500 stories were entered, so taking second place was a big boost to the ego (and the bank account, because there was a nice cash prize along with it). Writer’s Digest juuust got around to publishing a list of the winning entries online and will do so again in its July/August print edition. I’ll let you know when/if the story will be linked up to read.
